Following on from the success of our Robin - A Celebration in Stitch Embroidery Box, we have picked another of our favourite birds to study.
Wren - troglodytes troglodytes
The tiny wren with the loud song - the king of birds, little Jenny wren, wrannock.... this little brown bird with the upright tail has been known through the ages by many different names. This embroidery box is a celebration in stitch of this dear little bird.

Chris and I love to spend time in nature and to document what we see in paint and stitch. Our aim is to spread the joy of being in nature.
- The box will contain two patterns for you to embroider in our pure silk hand dyed threads
- The first pattern will be a wren in our botanical style. This will be a new pattern designed especially for the box
- The second pattern will be a beautiful holly wreath
- Five pure silk hand dyed threads - deep green, rusty ginger, fawn/ grey, soft brown and black.
- The pure linen is a neutral colour.
- There will be a box pouch sewn in Liberty of London tana lawns and complimenting the embroidery (please note: specific Liberty of London fabric designs may vary in your box from those shown, but will always be gorgeous xx)
- There will be a couple of little extras in the box to make it extra special for you!
There is the option to add on a drawstring bag also sewn in Liberty of London tana lawn.
Everything will be beautifully presented for you xx
This is the second of our Celebration in Stitch boxes where we examine beautiful flora and fauna and we couldn't be more excited! We have many more already planned and can't wait to share them with you over the coming months...
As with all of our patterns, we do not provide a detailed stitch description, rather providing you with a framework to create a wonderful individual piece of embroidery work.
There will also be a video of me stitching the patterns.
*Please note - the image is for illustration purposes only - the contents of the box are a surprise for you!*
Observed in Nature. Held in Stitch.
