ABOUT US

Sherry

Having previously worked in banking and education, I now spend my days with threads, yarn and paints.

I work with my son Chris, and inspired by the glorious Devon countryside and stunning coastline, we create individually hand dyed yarns and unique hand embroidered project bags. The great outdoors both inspires and revives us. Whether we are walking on Dartmoor, along the Jurassic Coast or wandering through local woodland, we can't help but be inspired by nature and the changing seasons. I am an avid reader and so it is no surprise that literature inspired yarns also make an appearance.

I love to sit and embroider. Working from sketches and imagination, I enjoy creating botanical embroideries. I also adore watching birds in my garden and down by the estuary, and many have made their way onto the beautiful linens I love to use for my embroideries. We aim to translate some of the raw beauty of nature into our projects.

To relax, I love to walk with my family and our labrador pup Willow Boo. I enjoy crochet, knitting, applique, sewing my own clothes, watercolour painting....I could go on. Crafting and creating feeds my soul.

Thank you so much for visiting our new website and we hope you find something here that makes you smile xxx

From the Wood Shed

My grandfather was a wheelwright living on a smallholding nestled in the Kent countryside. My earliest memories are of spending time with him in his barn where he would work surrounded by his much loved tools.

I now find that spending time working with wood brings me a peace and joy that he must have felt. I love to work with reclaimed wood, giving new life to old materials.

Having spent much of my life in Kent, I now enjoy discovering new places, walking with Sherry and our labrador pupp Willow in the Devon countryside, on the moors or by the river and will always have my camera with me. Taking our time to be amongst nature and watch the changing seasons.
