French Lavender Embroidery Kit
Part of our new Field Notes Collection - a study of some of our favourite flowers.
Chris and I love to spend days walking and exploring the countryside. I love to sketch and later stitch what I have seen. Chris loves to photograph and then to paint the memories of the day. We both in our own ways take the time to observe, record and reflect on what we have seen. Our Field Notes Collection is a reflection of this.

Lavender is one of my favourite plants to have in the garden. Always surrounded by bees, it has such a beautiful fragrance when you brush against it.
Symbolising purity and renewal, lavender is calming and relaxing.

Chris has designed our first Field Notes pattern in an archival botanical style. I imagine the embroideries framed along a wall or sewn into cushions.
The pattern is printed onto a pure linen fabric and comes with 3 x 3g hand dyed threads on our BFL/Silk base
The pattern measures approximately 9cm x 16cm
The pattern uses straight stitch and French knots, so is very accessible for the beginner stitcher but also a joy for the more experienced embroiderer.
Please note - you will need to provide the needle, scissors and hoop, should you choose to use one.
