Welcome to our new embroidery nature journalling kits - we couldn't be more excited to introduce these new kits.
Nature and embroidery are at the heart of who I am. Increasingly, I find that being in nature is good for me in so many ways. It calms and yet energises at the same time. My mind is soothed and I am inspired. I can feel my place in the world.
Being more aware of seasonal changes, observing nature, and preserving it in stitch is something I have done for many years.
A stitched nature journal is like a gentle, slow archive of changing nature around us. The cycle of the seasons can root us and help us through the stresses of our daily lives.

These Embroidery Nature Journal kits are intended to be a guide for you if you wish to begin your own embroidered nature journal.
The first box includes four beautiful hand dyed threads and three little embroidery patterns very accessible for the beginner but equally an enjoyable stitch for the more practised stitcher.
Wren, blossom and cow parsley are synonymous with springtime for me here in the UK. They are the perfect start to a nature journal.
I like to embellish my embroideries, adding poetry quotes or words of my own, thereby combining my nature journal with the idea of a commonplace book. Where a journal is our own discoveries in nature and our own thoughts, a commonplace book is rather a collection of words or ideas from other people who we are inspired by. So for me, adding text to my embroideries along with fabrics and laces is the perfect combination.
Therefore in the kit you will find a few pieces of fabric, sometimes vintage, along with a poem written especially for the box by Chris and a few little extras so that you can sit down and enjoy your stitching.
The patterns measure approximately... Wren - 6cm x 5cm, Blossom 8cm x 6cm, and Cow Parsley 6cm x 8cm.
