Chris and I love to spend days walking and exploring the countryside. I love to sketch and later stitch what I have seen. Chris loves to photograph and then to paint the memories of the day. We both in our own ways take the time to observe, record and think about what we have seen. Our Field Notes Collection is a reflection of this.

Where to begin with cow parsley....it makes my heart sing! To see the lanes lined with frothy cow parsley is a total joy. I embrace every week that it is with us. For me, it is also a link to the past - how many who have gone before us have loved the cow parsley in springtime?

Chris has designed the second of our Field Notes patterns in an archival botanical style. I imagine the embroideries framed along a wall or sewn into cushions. The first Field Notes design - French Lavender Embroidery Kit is available, please see separate listing.
The pattern is printed onto a pure linen fabric and comes with 3 x 3g hand dyed threads on our BFL/Silk base
The pattern measures approximately 13cm x 15cm
The pattern uses stem stitch, split stitch and lots of French knots! I adore French knots! It is a very accessible pattern for the beginner stitcher but also a joy for the more experienced embroiderer.
Please note - hoop not included. You will need to provide the needle, scissors, and hoop, should you choose to use one.
