Welcome to the Selvedge Chronicles Stitch Club!
For the third club the theme is Seedheads
*The club will begin shipping in October so please order separately as all other orders placed at the same time will ship with the club x *
For me, seed heads can be as beautiful as the flowers that precede them.
I love to see them on my walks, to have them in little bud vases around the house and of course, I love to stitch them.
Theirs is a delicate and fragile beauty and I adore them.
The main colours for this third Selvedge Club will be mellow apricots, pale pinks, amber and browns.
There will also be a limited number of box pouches available should you wish to add one to your order. I have these little pouches around my house - on my bedside for jewellery and hand creams, on my desk for bits and pieces, and of course next to me while I'm sewing for all my precious notions and trims x
*Happy sigh* - I can't wait to create it for you xx
***
Whether you're already an avid sewer or you would love to get into slow stitching and don't know where to start - this club is for you. There is no subscription - you can choose to dip in and out as you please.
We've called it a club because we want to create an environment where although we are all stitching independently, we are at the same time all joined in our love of stitch. We know as we sit with our needle and thread that we are sharing this love with so many other people. The first box went out to eleven countries so you're stitching along with people from around the world.
The aim of the Selvedge Chronicles Stitch Club is to provide you with a box of stitchy delights that will enable you to create a little piece of your own art or the materials to add into a larger slow stitch piece. Perhaps this is the ideal time to start a nature journal!
What you'll receive....
Each club will contain a selection of fabrics, threads and trims based around a theme. Some of the fabrics may have been aged by me with tea stain or by rust markings. Perhaps there will be some botanically dyed pieces of fabric or some hand dyed threads. Maybe a scrap of vintage lace or linen. Some of the fabrics will be new while others will be vintage and will therefore show signs of their previous life with some wear and tear.
The idea is to provide you with a basis to get going in slow stitching or perhaps to add to your stash!
There will also be a focus piece of fabric to get you started. Sizes of fabric will vary from little samples to larger pieces up to 25cm x 25cm maximum.
The slow stitch I will sew with the fabrics will be there as a guide should you need it to get going, but the idea is for you to create a piece of artwork with the prompts suggested as a starting point for you. Sometimes it's the getting started that is the hardest thing!
*Please be aware that if you are ordering from the EU, upon delivery of your parcel there will be additional import duties that are not charged by us and are outside of our control.*
All overseas orders will ship via Royal Mail International Standard.
