My name is Sherry and I’m an indie yarn dyer and textile artist living in Devon.
Along with my son Christopher, I produce gorgeous hand dyed yarns inspired by the stunningly beautiful local countryside and coastline.
Walking is my big pleasure. In all seasons, to be outside and amongst nature brings me a contentment. On my doorstep, I have Dartmoor, the Jurassic coast and the wonderful Devon countryside. I return from walks, pockets brimming with my nature finds – wildflowers, seedheads, feathers… I could spend hours watching birds and listening to their song. Birds and wildflowers are my favourite subjects to embroider. I love to embroider on linen – I love its uneven weave and natural feel. Being more in tune with nature and the changing seasons helps me in my desire to live a simple life. Slow living, pleasure in simple things.
When I’m not dyeing yarn or embroidering, you will find me knitting, crocheting, painting, sewing or journaling. I love to create – it makes me tick x
